The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 10+ years of field premium audit experience, with preferred APA/CIPA certifications.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, insurance or related field as well as ten years of field premium audit experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new software.
• Attention to detail in processing information, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Advanced organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including forming logical conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with outside customers.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Willingness to attend industry events to promote the company.

Responsibilities

• 60% - Manage audit assignments and analyze audits by reviewing the insured's business operations.
• 15% - Aid manager with audit administration tasks and oversee large premium adjustments.
• 10% - Lead and coach junior staff and conduct training presentations.
• 5% - Serve as primary contact for the assigned region and resolve audit disputes.
• 2% - Assist management with report preparation.
• 2% - Communicate audit results to customers to maintain relationships.
• 2% - Identify issues for underwriters and participate in training seminars.
• 2% - Travel, possibly overnight, as needed.
