Skanska is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Technology Engineer to join our team. This role collaborates with estimating and preconstruction to enhance data visualization, digital tools, and AI-enabled workflows that streamline project estimation and client deliverables.

The position focuses on hands-on estimating, workflow improvements, and developing interactive dashboards while evaluating new technologies for smarter preconstruction services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years full time relevant industry experience.
• 1+ year demonstrated experience with commercial construction estimating and estimating software applications
• Geometry - proficiency in measures of length, area and volume calculations.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint
• Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Improve how construction planning information is developed, analyzed, visualized, and communicated.
• Prepare project estimates while identifying workflow improvement opportunities.
• Develop digital workflow solutions and interactive, client‑facing project dashboards.
• Improve estimate presentation materials and methods.
• Evaluate emerging technologies that enhance preconstruction services.
