Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Technology Engineer to join our team in the United States. This role focuses on improving construction planning data, visualization, and client-facing deliverables while integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance estimating efficiency.

Responsibilities include hands-on collaboration with estimating teams, developing digital workflows, dashboards, and improved presentation materials, and evaluating emerging technologies to advance preconstruction

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Geometry - proficiency in measures of length, area and volume calculations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.

The Preconstruction Technology Engineer works directly with estimating and preconstruction teams to improve how construction planning information is developed, analyzed, visualized, and communicated. This role combines expertise in construction estimating, data visualization, digital tools, and emerging AI technologies to create innovative solutions that improve estimating efficiency and enhance client-facing deliverables. The individual will work hands-on with estimating teams in preparing project estimates while also identifying workflow improvement opportunities, developing digital workflow solutions, creating interactive, client facing project dashboards, improving estimate presentation materials and methods, and evaluating emerging technologies that enhance preconstruction services.

Preconstruction Technology Engineer Required Qualifications:
