Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group Inc. (VMG) seeks an experienced Project Manager for commercial mechanical construction, leading projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and team coordination to deliver HVAC, plumbing, and MEP scopes safely, on time, and within budget.

You will collaborate with owners, GCs, architects, and engineers, ensuring value and quality while maintaining strong client relationships and project profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction or MEP contracting.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost controls.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and milestones.
• Coordinate across PM, field operations, VDC, engineering, procurement, and other teams.
• Own project performance and ensure milestones and contractual requirements are met.
• Identify risks early and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee coordination of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related MEP systems.
• Maintain client and partner relationships and communicate project status clearly.
• Drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery across projects.
