Job summary

Moss is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Allen, TX to lead estimating and bid development for multiple trades. The role reports to Preconstruction Chief and requires strong quantity surveying, draw review, and RFIs to support accurate cost proposals.

You will assemble comprehensive trade scopes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Trade Contractors to deliver competitive bids for awarded projects.

Qualifications

• Four-year BS degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in estimating or equivalent.
• Ability to read specifications and plans across multiple trades.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word) and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity surveys of materials, skin study and GSF using On Screen TakeOFF/Bluebeam.
• Fill in missing information from drawings (Limited Trades).
• Assemble multi-trade estimates from quantity surveys (units and cost per unit).
• Review drawings and write RFIs for submittals to Architects & Engineers by trade.
• Develop bid tabs from trade contractors to ensure accurate scope.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by trade.
