Job summary

Moss is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support the Dallas/Allen market with leadership under the Preconstruction Chief. The role focuses on reviewing and assembling estimates, analyzing trade scopes, and developing bid tabulations across multiple trades for accurate project costings.

Qualifications

Graduate from College/University with a 4-year BS in a related field.
Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in estimating or equivalent field experience.
Knowledge of trade-specific scope responsibilities & unit pricing across multiple trades.
Ability to read specifications and plans proficiently and interpret design documents.
Strong self-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate quantity survey of materials, skin study & GSF using On Screen Take Off/Bluebeam.
From concept drawings, fill in gaps for missing information from drawings.
Assemble accurate estimates (multiple trades) with units and unit pricing.
Review drawings for missing information and write RFIs to Architects & Engineers by trade.
From trade contractors’ proposals, develop bid tabs for multiple trades to ensure accurate scope.
Develop qualifications and assumptions from bid tabs of trade contractors; identify cost savings opportunities across trades.
