Job summary

Moss is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support the Dallas/Allen market with leadership under the Preconstruction Chief. The role focuses on reviewing and assembling estimates, analyzing trade scopes, and developing bid tabulations across multiple trades for accurate project costings.

• Graduate from College/University with a 4-year BS in a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in estimating or equivalent field experience.
• Knowledge of trade-specific scope responsibilities & unit pricing across multiple trades.
• Ability to read specifications and plans proficiently and interpret design documents.
• Strong self-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity survey of materials, skin study & GSF using On Screen Take Off/Bluebeam.
• From concept drawings, fill in gaps for missing information from drawings.
• Assemble accurate estimates (multiple trades) with units and unit pricing.
• Review drawings for missing information and write RFIs to Architects & Engineers by trade.
• From trade contractors’ proposals, develop bid tabs for multiple trades to ensure accurate scope.
• Develop qualifications and assumptions from bid tabs of trade contractors; identify cost savings opportunities across trades.
