Job summary

Moss is seeking an MEP Specialist in Allen, TX to support preconstruction efforts on design-build projects. This full-time exempt role interfaces with the Preconstruction Chief to prepare comprehensive budgets and GMPs for specialty trades.

The candidate will lead quantity takeoffs, assemble detailed estimates, and communicate with Owners, A/E teams, and trade contractors to maintain project alignment with budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from College/University with a 4-year BS degree in a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Preconstruction.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings with constructability awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets and GMP for specialty trades within multiple projects.
• Perform accurate quantity surveys and takeoffs using design documents.
• Develop bid tabs, unit prices, and cost-saving opportunities for trades.
• Review drawings for missing information and issue RFIs to architects/engineers.
• Present cost variances to Owners and A/E teams and recommend solutions.
