Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager for AMER, GREF – Workplace Design & Construction (WD&C). You will lead preconstruction activities, scope, budgets, and schedules for tenant improvements and renovations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align on scope and delivery.

You will procure and manage external architects, engineers, and contractors, drive risk mitigation, and ensure compliance with contracts, cost requirements, and corporate standards while traveling up to 40%

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in leading preconstruction activities and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with GREF stakeholders, including portfolio managers and finance.
• Focus on due diligence, scope creation, and draft project charters for renovations and new build direction.
• Prepare budgets for forecast and approval, estimate schedules for renovations and new build construction, and hand off to design/construction teams.
• Procure and manage external architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and/or subcontractors.
• Ensure decisions are made at the appropriate level and drive Amazon's priorities; resolve project issues.
• Identify and mitigate risk, keep scope under control, and escalate blockers as needed.
• Understand design and construction contracts and provide detailed analysis and approvals of technical matters.
• Review landlord delivery conditions in LOI and lease documents.
