Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager in GES NA Design & Construction. You will autonomously manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through permitting and contract execution across the region.

You will lead design management, budgets, and external vendor partnerships with limited oversight. You will mentor junior managers, develop playbooks, and drive best practices in stakeholder management and project delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7+ years of project management in design/construction disciplines.
• Experience with packaging/processing or logistical facilities with complex equipment.
• Willing to travel up to 60% nationwide; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce safety programs and standards across all project teams during planning and preconstruction.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management across multiple locations.
• Oversee design management end-to-end including conformance reviews and value engineering.
• Manage budgets and project procurement; negotiate with developers, GCs, and consultants.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive timely delivery.
