Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to lead estimating efforts for complex projects in Atlanta. This role will drive cost accuracy, develop bid strategies, and coordinate with project directors, architects, and engineers to ensure comprehensive, competitive bids.

You will manage a team of estimators, prepare master estimates, and review proposals for scope, risk, and constructability, while coordinating pre-bid activities and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; plus 5 years estimating experience or 15 years related experience.
• Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, and strong subcontractor/vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of estimating software Beck Destini, Accubid, Bluebeam and InSite.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of estimators on a proposal.
• Create project general conditions and master estimate formats.
• Develop bid strategies and coordinate pre-bid/site activities.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications for scope and content of estimates.
• Assist with risk assessment and post-estimate reviews.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
