Overview

Summary Description

The Senior Estimator leads and participates in the preparation of estimates for construction projects, performs constructability analysis, compiles bid packages, develops value analyses, prepares detailed estimates, analyzes site conditions and contract documents, evaluates subcontractor proposals, manages scope coverage and risks, and creates cost efficiencies through process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for assigned scopes.
• Perform constructability analysis and compile bid packages.
• Develop value analyses for cost efficiency.
• Prepare detailed estimates for scopes of trades and overall projects.
• Analyze site conditions and contract documents for scope gaps.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Manage scope coverage and risks.
• Improve estimating processes for cost efficiencies.
