Summary Description

The Senior Estimator leads and participates in the preparation of estimates for construction projects, performs constructability analysis, compiles bid packages, develops value analyses, prepares detailed estimates, analyzes site conditions and contract documents, evaluates subcontractor proposals, manages scope coverage and risks, and creates cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all items in the assigned scope.
• Perform constructability analysis and compile bid packages for complex scopes.
• Develop value analyses for cost-effective alternatives.
• Prepare detailed estimates of the entire scope of assigned trades and overall project costs.
• Analyze site conditions and contract documents for scope gaps.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and manage scope coverage risks.
• Improve estimating processes for cost efficiencies.
