This Preconstruction Manager will lead the charge in finding new project opportunities and securing preconstruction presentations to ensure a healthy pipeline of future projects for this commercial General Contractor. The role involves leading all precon estimate activities, hiring, training, delegating, and coaching the department to support the leadership & project management team in succeeding with upcoming projects.

Overview:

• Summary: The Senior Estimator leads and participates in preparing estimates for construction projects.
• Perform constructability analysis to identify design and constructability issues.
• Compile bid packages for complex scopes, accurately conveying bid requirements to trades.
• Develop value analyses, defining cost-efficient alternatives to proposed scopes.
• Prepare detailed estimates for the entire scope of assigned trades and overall project costs.
• Analyze site conditions and contract documents to identify any omitted scope.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work.
• Manage scope coverage and risk of scope gaps.
• Create cost efficiencies through continuous estimating process improvements.

• Complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all items within the scope.
• Perform constructability analyses to identify issues.
• Compile bid packages for complex scopes.
• Develop value analyses for cost efficiency.
• Estimate entire scope of trades and overall project costs.

• Evaluate subcontractor proposals.
