Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company is seeking a senior project manager to independently oversee the pre-construction phase for utility-scale solar, transmission lines, and energy storage projects. You will drive FEL 2 and FEL 3, develop cost estimates, budgets for EPC, and guide preliminary engineering while coordinating with construction and commissioning teams.

You will coordinate environmental surveys, geotechnical/site studies, and RFP development, ensuring alignment with production models

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project management within construction, engineering or related field.
• Experience with pre-construction engineering and project development in utility-scale renewables is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain engineering requirements to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute FEL scope of work for pre-construction.
• Manage preconstruction services from early development to start of construction.
• Coordinate environmental site surveys and obtain agency approvals.
• Lead procurement efforts for long lead materials and EPC procurement support.
• Coordinate site surveys (geotechnical, topography, ALTA) and manage internal/external engineering resources.
• Ensure alignment with optimized energy production models and develop project estimates (Class 5, 4, 3).
• Support EPC/RFP activities and maintain relationships with contractors and engineering firms.
