Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior precast and prestressed quality authority responsible for establishing plant quality control programs, preparing plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals, and resolving structural acceptance questions on prestressed products.

This role supervises Level I and II inspectors, audits supplier plants, and ensures compliance with PCI MNL-116/MNL-117, DOT requirements, and AASHTO R18 quality system.

Qualifications

• Current PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III with 6+ years in precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast and prestressed specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies.
• Qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
