Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Inspector III to serve as the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products across multiple plants and projects.

The role involves establishing plant QC programs, preparing for PCI audits and DOT approvals, and resolving complex structural acceptance questions with the engineer of record. You will supervise Level I and II inspectors and travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III current with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specs.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals; lead corrective actions.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors.
• Walk the plant yard and manage precast memory of compliant vs non-compliant plants.
