Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector III, the senior quality authority for precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals, and supervise inspectors.

Requirements include PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, 6+ years of precast QC with supervision, and strong knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT specs. Travel for audits is involved.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current; 6+ years in precast QC including supervision.
• Command of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specs.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting audits.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs/manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals; lead corrective actions.
• Resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; supervise Level I/II inspectors.
