Job summary

Everpure, formerly Pure Storage, seeks a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to drive technical engagements in PacNW. You will work with the sales team, tailor storage solutions, and demonstrate value across DAS, NAS, and SAN environments.

You’ll evaluate customer needs, craft architecture presentations, and help close technical wins while staying ahead of evolving storage and cloud-native trends.

Qualifications

• Pre-sales experience is required.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience, mixed among technology, design, and communications.
• Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.
• Familiarity with modern web architecture a plus (LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up, AWS well-architected framework, microservices).
• Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
• Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.
• Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN).
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems and Linux distributed network environments.
• Installation/configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory, cache architectures.
• Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.

Responsibilities

• Develop an exhaustive understanding of what drives a customer’s business and what motivates their decision making.
• Connect the dots from technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers, specialists and channel partners to drive revenue growth.
• Lead with technical leadership on storage products across DAS, NAS and SAN spaces.
• Take control of evaluations, benchmarks and system configurations.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to secure technical wins.
• Capture requirements and translate business needs into innovative solutions.
• Seek opportunities for interoperability and performance testing/validation.
• Promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges.
• Produce materials with product and marketing to support alliance plans.
• Stay current with competition and reflect differentiation in materials.
• Lead with market trends to promote thought leadership.
