Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer for Northern New Jersey. You will partner with Territory Managers to design AI-native networking solutions for state, local government, and K-12 accounts, acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Responsibilities include qualifying opportunities, delivering presentations and PoCs, writing proposals, and guiding complex deals from discovery to deployment. This remote/teleworker role requires NJ presence and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in infrastructure, systems engineering, or pre-sales for enterprise networking.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and close opportunities with TMs.
• Design end-to-end networking solutions per customer requirements.
• Deliver presentations, demos, workshops, and PoCs.
• Write technical proposals and architecture recommendations.
• Position HPE against competitors on technical and business value.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Support channel and demand-gen activity in the territory.
• Stay current on networking technology and competitive trends.
• Support complex deals from discovery through deployment.
