Job summary

Pattern Energy, a leading renewable energy company, seeks a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to lead planning for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects from development to construction readiness.

You will manage scope, estimates, preliminary engineering, constructability reviews, RFPs, and bid evaluations while coordinating with development, engineering, construction, procurement, environmental, and operations teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering preferred.
• 10+ years in construction planning / pre-construction.
• 5+ years in renewable power pre-construction.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project.
• Willing to relocate to San Diego or work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects.
• Develop EPC cost estimates, budgets, cash flows, and milestone schedules.
• Coordinate preliminary engineering with geotechnical, civil, structural, electrical teams.
• Review documents for completeness and alignment with agreements and permits.
• Lead RFP development and bid processes with stakeholders.
• Evaluate contractor proposals using technical, commercial, schedule, risk criteria.
• Coordinate approvals of bid packages and scope changes.
• Provide construction planning support from development to execution.
• Manage turnover from preconstruction to construction execution.
