Job summary
Musselman & Hall Contractors seeks a Sr. Preconstruction Manager to drive growth, oversee major BD initiatives, and guide preconstruction activities. You will manage client relationships, vet opportunities, and coordinate with Estimating to ensure timely bids.
The role emphasizes leadership, strategic vision, and strong collaboration across design, estimating, and field operations to maximize profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in CM, engineering, or business.
- 7+ years of relevant commercial construction exp, with estimating & BD.
- Experience supervising or coaching others is preferred.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics expected.
- Strong strategic vision and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Strategy with targeted goals to meet annual profit targets.
- Prospect for profitable growth opportunities and nurture client relationships.
- Manage 30-60-90 sales pipeline plans and track progress in CRM.
- Coordinate with Estimating Team on bid calendars and proposals.
- Represent the firm with Design Community, GCs, and owners at events.
- Lead, coach, and develop other Business Development Managers.
- Coordinate handoffs with Project Executives and Field Ops.
- Monitor status vs. budget and improve historical production rates.
- Perform other duties to support the Business Unit.
