Job summary

EASTERN BUILDERS is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead the Commercial Preconstruction Team, directing estimates, value engineering, and GMP development for complex projects.

You will mentor the team, coordinate with business development and operations, and ensure accurate pricing, constructability input, and timely proposals. Strong leadership and communication are essential to build client trust and drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in commercial general construction estimating with preconstruction teams.
• Senior estimating experience may be considered if aligned with project type.
• Strong knowledge of preconstruction processes, scope development, cost estimating, construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam and Scheduling Software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the preconstruction team to ensure high performance.
• Establish and maintain preconstruction processes, tools, and standards across projects.
• Facilitate collaboration between estimating, scheduling, and design review to ensure cohesive planning.
• Partner with business development to evaluate opportunities and support proposals.
• Participate in client presentations and strategy sessions to communicate preconstruction capabilities.
• Provide early-stage feasibility analysis, budgeting, and scheduling input for pursuits and negotiated work.
• Serve as primary preconstruction contact and escalation point for clients, ensuring clear communication.
• Build trust and long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
