Kiva is a global nonprofit focused on expanding financial access. The Senior Manager, Public Relations leads PR and media strategy, partners campaigns, and thought leadership amplification, working across Marketing, Partnerships, and Communications & Influence to elevate our impact.

The role emphasizes data-driven storytelling, executive visibility, and cross-functional collaboration, with a remote-US eligible work setup and visa-free working conditions for certain states.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in public relations and media relations, including direct media pitching.
• Experience developing and executing thought leadership strategy, including narrative development and channel activation.
• Experience managing multi-partner communications or marketing campaigns across internal teams and external partners.
• Preferred: experience working with or managing a PR agency relationship.
• Experience owning and growing a brand presence on LinkedIn and other professional channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead PR and media strategy in collaboration with the Director and PR firm.
• Gather borrower stories, impact stats, and outcome metrics to support media opportunities.
• Own Muck Rack tracking, reporting, and local media list development.
• Maintain PR-ready resources for hubs, Lending Partners, and Strategic Partners.
• Own localized pitching for community media coverage.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Strategic Partnerships to amplify opportunities.
• Own LinkedIn strategy and thought leadership amplification.
• Identify conference, panel, and awards opportunities for visibility.
