Job summary

Gunvor USA LLC in Houston seeks a Senior Power Business Analyst to support the Power Desk Front-to-Back, including system setup, enhancements, UAT, and interface builds with ETRMs/CTRM. You will gather requirements, run workshops, model Power desk activities in OATI applications, and collaborate with traders, IT, and vendors for integration and post-deployment support.

The role requires 8+ years in ETRM/CTRM, strong knowledge of North American power derivatives, SQL, API/FIX experience, and

Qualifications

Formal education at university level or equivalent.
Experience in OATI applications, especially webTrader.
At least 8 years working hands-on on an ETRM or CTRM as a Business Analyst or Application Support (QA, Support, In-House Development, working with Vendors).
Good knowledge of Power Products and Derivatives on North American market.
Strong SQL, understanding of database design and Report generation within business applications.
Experience in working with API, FIX messages, especially with market data feeds from exchanges like ICE, CME, NODAL.
Experience of providing excellent Customer Service on a local and global user base.
Strong Leader.
Team player with ability to exercise flexibility, demonstrate initiative to ensure the business needs are met in a proactive manner with minimum supervision.
Good interpersonal skills, especially communication, able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical users, in a multi-cultured working environment and able to cope in stressful/difficult/conflict situations in a serviced oriented manner.
Highly organized and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be self-motivated and creative and able to work with minimum supervision.
Fluent in English (spoken and written). General skills in ICT technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver all key features for the Power Desk Front-to-Back (System setup, Enhancements, System upgrades, UAT, bugs prioritization, testing, building new interfaces).
Enhance and support in-house applications integrated with ETRMs.
Work with developers to ensure integration and post-deployment support.
Act as 2nd level support to worldwide users and escalate as needed to Vendors/Dev teams.
Demonstrate service-oriented approach and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Manage client expectations effectively and support IT BM in reporting/backlog prioritization.
Document technical architecture, user guides, and handover to the Support team.
