Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a senior Power Systems Engineer to lead curtailment, LMP, and SCED studies across ERCOT. You will operate with minimal supervision, manage complex technical analyses, oversee processes, and mentor a team of power system engineers.

Deep expertise in wholesale electricity markets and modeling is required. You will collaborate with internal teams, support business development, and represent EPE at meetings and conferences, emphasizing client communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Power Systems Engineer in generation and transmission interconnection.
• Deep expertise in wholesale electricity markets and ERCOT familiarity.
• Strong modeling capabilities: load flow, LMP, SCED analysis.
• Excellent client-facing communication and leadership skills.
• Experience applying AI and automation to improve quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct congestion and basis risk analyses for ERCOT regional planning.
• Perform due diligence on operations, grid connection, market revenues and contracts.
• Lead transmission load flow and SCED LMP analyses.
• Strategize site selection and interconnection opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent EPE at meetings.
• Collaborate across teams on market trends and investments.
• Support business development with scopes of work.
• Develop innovative study approaches.
