Job summary
Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a senior power systems engineer to lead modeling and NERC-related studies. You will manage client accounts, support business development, and guide the growth of engineers on the team.
The role requires proficiency with PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT/PSLF, a power systems degree, and ERCOT experience, along with strong communication and leadership skills. This position is remote in the US with travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis.
- Proficient with PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT/PSLF.
- Experience with ERCOT modeling requirements.
- Minimum 3 years in power systems modeling.
- Knowledge of power system and IBR modeling.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to explain technical matters clearly.
- High standards for quality reports and deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-time project completion within budget and quality targets.
- Engage with clients to gather input and address project needs.
- Develop and mentor engineers within the team and organization.
- Perform advanced studies of the power grid using industry tools (PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT/PSLF).
- Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and timeliness of deliverables.
- Support business development with RFP responses and scope of work.
