Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC is seeking a senior power systems leader to guide a team of engineers in ERCOT IBR modeling and related NERC studies. You will manage client interactions, project scope, and scheduling while driving technical excellence and reliability of deliverables.

You will mentor engineers, help grow capabilities, and contribute to business development through technical leadership and high-quality reporting across North America, with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of power system and IBR modeling.
• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis.
• Wide range of experience with ERCOT modeling requirements and procedures.
• Minimum 5 years (in excess of degree requirements) of working experience in the power system industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient with at least one power system analysis software: PSSE, PSCAD, TSAT and PSLF.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
• Interact with clients to seek input and address needs and concerns with respect to the project scope.
• Lead a team of electrical engineers to perform ERCOT IBR modeling tasks and NERC PRC-0.29 study.
• Develop and grow the capabilities of engineers within the team and the larger organization.
• Perform advanced and specialized studies of the power grid utilizing industry standard analysis platforms such as PSS/e, PLSF, TSAT and PSCAD.
• Lead process improvement efforts identifying opportunities to enhance organizational efficiencies.
