Job summary

Electric Power Engineers (EPE) seeks a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead interconnection studies, modeling, and grid analyses across ERCOT from a remote US location. You will guide a team, manage client discussions, and shape strategy for generation, transmission, and load interconnection projects.

You will provide technical leadership, deliver high-quality analyses, support business development, and mentor engineers while ensuring timely, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years professional experience in power systems engineering.
• Experience with ERCOT interconnection processes.
• PSCAD and PSS/E modeling experience, generation-focused.
• ERCOT MQT testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead load and generation interconnection efforts within the ERCOT footprint.
• Create and validate power system models (PSCAD, PSS/E, TSAT) for various projects.
• Review work and provide technical direction to engineers.
• Mentor and manage a small team of engineers.
• Support business development and prepare scopes of work.
• Present study results to clients and utilities.
• Participate in interviews and contribute to team growth.
