Job summary

Tapestry, an Alphabet-backed team building AI-powered grid solutions in the US, seeks a strategic technical bridge to shape end-to-end grid model strategy. You will lead data standardization to CIM, ensure quality, and enable scalable deployment to testing and production environments.

You will collaborate with product and partner teams, define ingestion requirements, and drive tooling improvements while validating models meet use-case criteria.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in power systems modeling and analysis.
• Deep understanding of power system topologies and CIM data conversion.
• Knowledge of power flow, short circuit analysis, transient stability, and economic dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison connecting internal and external cross-functional teams to align on data requirements.
• Co-pilot to Product Management to define the Model Ingestion User Journey and Functional Requirements.
• Utilize internal ingestion tooling to process grid models and convert formats to CIM; collaborate with Software Engineering for tooling improvements.
• Validate ingested models meet explicit use-case requirements; ensure correct geolocation and simulatable results.
• Stage and deliver validated grid models into testing and production applications.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing and coordinate with end-users for validation and sign-off.
