Job summary

Tapestry, Mountain View, CA, is building an AI-powered grid platform and seeking a strategic technical bridge across engineering, product, and partner teams to shape the end-to-end model strategy and CIM data standards. You will drive ingestion tooling, model quality assurance, and deployment into testing and production environments, coordinating with users for validation and sign-off.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems modeling and analysis.
• Deep understanding of power system topologies and CIM standard with data conversion experience.
• Strong knowledge of power flow, short circuit analysis, transient stability, and economic dispatch.
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python, C++, Julia).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison across cross-functional teams to align on data requirements.
• Help Product Management define the Model Ingestion User Journey and Functional Requirements.
• Use internal ingestion tooling to convert grid models to CIM format and provide operational feedback to engineers.
• Validate ingested models meet use-case requirements and geolocation/electrical simulability standards.
• Stage and deliver validated models into testing and production applications.
• Lead user acceptance testing and obtain final engineering sign-off.
