Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States seeks a Sr Systems Architect to drive integrated power generation system architectures from generator terminals through interconnection facilities. You will lead cross-functional teams, define requirements, and coordinate multiple engineering disciplines to maximize uptime and system performance.

The role requires 12+ years in power generation or utility systems, 7+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, and 5+ years presenting to executives and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years in power generation or utility systems engineering.
• 7+ years leading multidisciplinary teams with high-value solutions.
• 5+ years presenting to executives and regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern integrated power generation system architectures across facilities.
• Lead inside-the-fence-line assets including turbines, GSUs, HV/LV gear, and substations.
• Set requirements, baselines, interfaces, and design standards for complex projects.
• Collaborate on solution validation, FAT/SAT, commissioning milestones, and performance criteria.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams to ensure uptime, resilience, and maintainability.
• Review power system studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, stability.
• Translate customer requirements into architecture and design specs.
• Lead risk management, interface control, and integration plans throughout lifecycle.
• Coordinate across GE Vernova units for technical alignment and reviews.
• Support business development with technical scoping and proposal support.
• Develop reference architectures for data centers, microgrids, and industrial sites.
• Lead customer workshops and provide executive-level recommendations.
