Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Engineer in Generator Product Service to own complex generator and electrical system issues end-to-end. You will serve as the technical anchor for investigations, CAPAs, and product‑level designs, while engaging with customers, field teams, and executives.

You will publish technical communications and support strategic programs, mentoring a rising team of engineers. The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in generator engineering, and travel 10–15%

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering or a related field — a formal degree is preferred, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements
• 5+ years of experience in generator engineering and technology
• Willingness to travel 10–15% domestically and internationally, including on short notice, and to support off-hours or weekend emergency response as business needs arise

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations from initial fault identification through CAPA
• Serve as the technical authority for generator and electrical system designs
• Be the face of GE Vernova’s technical expertise at customer sites and industry events
• Author and publish Technical Information Letters and safety bulletins
• Support strategic programs including service fulfillment and NPI initiatives
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers
