Job summary

Oracle in the United States is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead power-systems engineering for utility interconnection, substations, energy storage, on-site generation, and campus-scale electrical infrastructure.

The role focuses on developing architectures, standards, and analyses, and requires extensive experience with PSCAD/ETAP/SKM/EMTP modeling and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable power solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in power-systems engineering and large-load infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of utility interconnections, substations, protection and controls.
• Experience with BESS, on-site generation, microgrids, or load-management.
• Ability to communicate complex power systems to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead power-systems engineering for utility infrastructure and campus-scale loads.
• Develop technical requirements, calculations, specs, and recommendations.
• Apply engineering standards and contribute to design philosophies and validation practices.
• Identify risks and opportunities affecting capacity, schedule, resiliency, and expansion.
• Translate complex grid issues into clear technical recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement solutions.
