Job summary

Ulteig seeks a Senior System Protection Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies. This senior role requires coordinating project phases and guiding junior engineers.

You will design protection schemes for various assets including transmission, distribution, generation, and renewables, while mentoring teammates and adopting evolving AI tools to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license required; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Expertise in system modeling and fault analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of relay coordination and protective settings for 12.47 kV–345 kV systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses including short-circuit and coordination studies.
• Design and optimize relay settings and coordination strategies.
• Develop protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewables.
• Create and execute test plans, assist with commissioning, and troubleshoot protection events.
• Ensure compliance with NERC PRC standards.
• Mentor engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Embrace evolving technology and AI tools to drive continuous improvement.
