Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant heavy industrial power/power plant experience to lead complex projects from definition through closeout. You will create schedules, budgets, and objectives, manage costs and profitability, and coordinate with engineering and client teams.

You will review invoices, manage change and risk, ensure timely client payments, and mentor junior PMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets for approval.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices and ensures timely payment.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Manages project change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house construction budgets.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
• 10% travel or less.
