Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with deep expertise in heavy industrial power plants. You will define scope, schedules, and budgets, manage costs and change, and lead client communications to ensure project profitability.

You will mentor junior PMs, coordinate with engineering, procurement and field teams, and drive timely reporting, risk mitigation, and successful project closeout in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with budgets and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Prepares and reviews client billings to ensure timely payment and approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project risks and escalates appropriately.
• Manages change using change management protocols.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments, and objectives to the project team.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitates meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinates submittals to agencies and assists with responses.
• Prepares and distributes contract modifications and closeout materials.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
