Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with significant expertise in heavy industrial power/ power plants. Responsibilities include developing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 13+ years of experience, and PMP/CCM/DBIA certification within 12 months.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire.
Significant design-build / EPC experience with heavy industrial power/power plant clients.

Responsibilities

Define project scope, schedule, and budgets; align with stakeholders.
Prepare detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures and budgets; secure approvals.
Manage project costs and profitability.
Prepare timely client billings and ensure payments; approve subcontractor invoices.
Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
Manage change using formal change protocols.
Communicate deadlines and tasks to the project team.
Prepare overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group.
Coordinate submittals to agencies; coordinate with Project Construction Manager for bid/tender activities.
Mentor less experienced Project Managers.
