Job summary

Michels Pacific Energy, Inc. is hiring a senior project professional to lead large-scale transmission and distribution projects on the West Coast.

You will oversee planning, staffing, budgeting, and client communications to ensure successful project delivery. With 7+ years in project management and exposure to EPC and transmission projects, you will drive safety, efficiency, and contract execution while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with transmission and distribution projects.
• Experience with EPC projects.
• Experience with Project Management software (Primavera, Project, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• PMP, PE certifications is desired.
• Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Directly supervise Associate Project Managers and Project Managers; interview, train, plan, assign, and provide feedback.
• Review project proposals to understand scope, time frame, funding, staffing and resources.
• Build and sustain client and contractor relationships; maintain proactive communication with clients.
• Confer with staff to outline work plans, assign duties, and conduct productive meetings.
• Oversee contract management from initial conversations to final close-out and act as main contact for contractual matters.
