Job summary

Tucson Electric Power Company is seeking a Maintenance Planner to analyze, plan, and coordinate maintenance activities for a designated area. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation, Operations, and Engineering to ensure plant reliability and optimal availability.

Responsibilities include developing detailed work scopes, managing the CMMS, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating parts and tenders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 4–5 years journeyman level experience in mechanical, instrumentation/controls and/or electrician OR 5 years in maintenance/project planning.
• On-call availability on weekends and evenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receives corrective work requests; develops scope, job plans and estimates, and requests parts for materials operations.
• Administers preventive and predictive work order database for the area.
• Develops detailed requests for pricing and purchase requisitions.
• Manages CMMS activities and information for power production.
• Creates outage flow charts and cost estimates using critical path techniques.
• Verifies spare part availability and maintains equipment history databases.
• Conducts maintenance history research and prepares reports.
• Provides supervision in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Contributes to budget development and monitoring for compliance.
