Cummins Inc. is seeking a technical specialist to diagnose and repair generators at customer sites in the United States. You will be the primary support contact, applying tools and documented procedures to execute complex repairs efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document service activities, and escalate issues as needed while coaching technicians and apprentices. The role emphasizes health, safety, and accurate reporting for warranty and service records.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair generators and components at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and develops productive customer relations.
• Applies specialized tools and procedures to diagnose and complete repairs at customer sites.
• Performs preventative maintenance on power generation products in the field.
• Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
• Coaches technicians and apprentices and reviews repair plans and parts lists.
• Completes service worksheets, warranty claims and other quality documents.
• Maintains service vehicle and tools; adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Communicates effectively with diverse audiences and ensures customer-focused solutions.
• Contributes to talent development and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Documents troubleshooting steps and test results in the service management system.
