Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work, and escalate issues as needed.

Role requires strong field service skills, adherence to safety procedures and ability to develop customer relationships while coaching junior technicians. Excellent problem-solving and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and develops productive customer relations and ensures prompt attention to customer needs
• Applies specialized tools and follows procedures to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site
• Performs preventative maintenance on power generation products in the field
• Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor
• Coaches technicians/apprentices and reviews repair plans and parts lists
• Completes service documentation, timesheets, warranty claims and quality documents
