Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist/Technician to diagnose and repair generators and related components at customer sites. You will be the primary on-site contact, ensuring timely, quality service.

The role involves following procedures, performing preventative maintenance, coaching apprentices, and maintaining documentation. On-site work 100% in person, with emphasis on health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing generators and related equipment.
• Ability to train and mentor technicians and apprentices.
• Familiarity with on-site field service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators at customer site.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per schedules and standards in the field.
• Maintain documentation such as service worksheets and warranty claims.
• Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies on site.
• Develop productive customer relations and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
