Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and development of state-of-the-art medium-voltage drive systems for mission-critical industrial applications. You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from power electronics design to real-time simulation and product validation, collaborating with a global team of experts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in variable speed drives, power conversion, motor control, or industrial automation systems.
• Strong understanding of medium-voltage power electronics, including rectifiers, inverters, active front ends, and motor drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize medium-voltage power conversion systems, including transformers, active front ends (AFE), diode front ends (DFE), motor bridges, and harmonic mitigation filters.
• Develop and enhance advanced motor control algorithms, including vector control and Field-Oriented Control (FOC).
• Define, implement, and validate integrated control strategies balancing customer requirements with performance and reliability.
• Create offline simulation models and real-time digital twins for development and HIL testing.
• Lead system integration and validation on real-time platforms and physical test systems.
• Collaborate with power electronics, software, systems engineering, and product management teams.
