Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced hardware design engineer to lead power electronics development for AC/DC and DC/DC systems. You will collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver robust products from concept through production.
The role requires 8+ years in hardware design with power electronics, plus 5+ years in embedded systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years hardware design experience with power electronics.
- 5+ years embedded systems and microcontroller interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop power electronic circuits for AC-DC and DC-DC converters.
- Create electrical schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and other design documentation.
- Perform circuit simulations to verify performance, efficiency, reliability and safety.
- Define power architecture and system-level electrical requirements.
- Support PCB layout activities and prototype validation.
- Lead design verification plans and regulatory certifications (UL/IEC).
- Collaborate with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams throughout product lifecycle.
