Carrier Global Corporation seeks an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to design and validate power electronic circuits for HVAC and related systems. You will work across hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure robust products from concept to production.

The role calls for 8+ years in hardware design with power electronics exposure, strong CAD skills, and familiarity with regulatory standards. On-site work in Indiana with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of hardware design experience with exposure to power electronics.
5+ years working knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller interfaces.

Responsibilities

Design and develop power electronic circuits for AC-DC power supplies and DC-DC converters.
Create/develop electrical schematics, BOM, assembly drawings, and other design documentation using CAD tools; develop component and product specs.
Perform circuit simulation and analysis to verify performance, efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Define power architecture and system-level electrical requirements.
Complete and support PCB layout activities.
Build, debug, and validate prototypes.
Support regulatory certification activities including UL, IEC, CSA, CE, and other standards; conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams throughout product lifecycle.
