Job summary

Process Technology, a global leader in cutting-edge thermal and power conversion equipment, seeks a skilled Hardware Engineer in New York to design and test AC/DC, DC/DC supplies, and related power electronics for diverse markets. This hands-on role covers design, analysis, and project management across the product lifecycle of 100W to 300 kW systems.

You will collaborate with firmware, analog engineers, and cross-functional teams to select topologies, validate performance, and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in power electronics design and validation; 3+ years in power supplies.
• Experience with bidirectional, four quadrant power supplies is a plus.
• Proficiency in analog circuits and DSP/MCU control for power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Power Supply Design & Development: design and develop electronics, schematics, and PCB layouts for power supplies.
• Benchmark Breadboard & Testing: build and troubleshoot breadboard concepts and prototypes.
• Design Validation & Testing: create test plans and procedures and aid in verifications.
• Collaboration & Innovation: work with firmware/embedded engineers on analog and DSP/MCU control.
• Technology Roadmap Contribution: provide analog electrical design solutions for complex projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with other teams to select topologies and resolve issues.
• Design Documentation: produce schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and reviews.
• Compliance & Standards: ensure UL/CE/ISO EMI/EMC and Mil-Std compliance.
