Job summary

Bartlett & West is seeking a senior professional to build a profitable Power Delivery engineering business in the Midwest. The role focuses on strategy, client development, and staff leadership across power systems, substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.

The candidate will lead high-level positioning, pursue opportunities, manage client relationships, and expand market presence while guiding project teams and collaborating with Marketing. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10+ years in design, staff management and business development.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Limited travel (10-15%).

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue project opportunities and build client relationships.
• Develop and implement business plans and strategies with market leaders.
• Recruit, hire, and develop local staff for engineering deliverables.
• Manage project scope, schedule, fees, QA/QC, and revenue.
• Analyze office financial performance monthly.
• Maintain client records and coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
• Mentor project managers and other staff.
