Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX is seeking a Principal Power & Analog Design Engineer to join the Multi‑Product Power & Digital (MPD) department. The role is onsite, focusing on FPGA/analog and power electronics for missiles, radars, and EW systems.

You will define requirements, develop architectures, and execute detailed designs with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities include leading trade studies, coordinating ECAD, and supporting integration and verification across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with linear converters and non-isolated topologies (buck/boost/buck-boost).
• Experience with isolated topologies (flyback/half-bridge/full-bridge/forward/push-pull).
• Experience with EMI filter design, analysis, and testing in power electronics.
• Experience with transformer/inductor design, analysis, testing, and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Decompose requirements and drive architecture at circuit card/sub-system level.
• Lead power converter specification development and topology decisions.
• Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuit cards.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters on stack‑up, layout, and routing.
• Plan and execute integration and verification in engineering labs.
• Provide test support and root‑cause investigations.
• Define task schedules and manage risks/opportunities.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and review work.
