Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Power & Analog Design Engineer in North Texas for an onsite role. You will design, analyze, test and document analog power circuits, define circuit-card architectures, and lead small teams while coordinating with ECAD drafters and lab verification activities.

The role requires deep power electronics expertise and readiness to mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities include trade studies, schedule planning, and supporting design reviews.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation of buck/boost converters.
• Analog electronics design including FETs, op-amps, and filters.
• Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar tools.
• Schematic capture / PCB layout CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements decomposition and trade studies.
• Define circuit card-level architecture.
• Lead design, analysis, test, and documentation of analog and power cards.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters on stackup, layout and routing.
• Plan and execute integration and verification in lab environments.
• Provide test and troubleshooting support and root cause analysis.
• Define schedules for card-level tasks and manage budget and schedule.
• Lead individual designs or small teams.
• Operate with minimal oversight from management.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge.
